Rain Daniel was born on 25 November 2002 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. She began teaching English online in 2022, having completed her TEFL certificate in 2019 ‘just in case’ a teaching opportunity arose — which it soon did, through a friend-of-a-friend.

Rain quickly fell in love with her students and the joy of connecting with people through language. When the company she was working for suddenly closed, one of her student’s mothers approached her with an idea: to continue teaching together under a new school. A few months later, on 3 July 2023, Rain Online Education (Pty) Ltd was officially registered.

Teaching six hours a day, five days a week (and even four hours on Sundays), Rain dedicated her time and heart to growing her school. She credits her success to the incredible support of her friends, family, students, and partner — all of whom helped shape ROE into what it is today. With a deep passion for education, Rain continues to put her love and energy into the wellbeing of Rain Online Education, and into every student who joins the school.
